When I bought my Gibson LP Studio new in 09 I figured I would get use to the neck, but the injury I had to my hand has made it worse.
So i decided to sell my Studio(paid$1320 for it) and have been offered this Strat plus as a trade.

What is one of these worth? And does anyone see any red flags on this?
It seems to be a '93-94' build, any input would be great. Thanks all, newwt aka Dave

I've seen real nice near mint early 90s Stat Pluses sell in the $1000-1300 range on ebay. In the pics you posted this example looks like a very clean example, so I would put it in that price range. The Plus is interesting in that it came with Lace Sensors and it included the Tone Bass Expander circuit. I'm partial to Fenders anyway, but I would make that trade... but I'm sure you will get more educated answers from other members in the forum. Good luck! :D

I consider it a fair trade. Go for it.

I'd make the trade. I have a Plus, and I used to have a Les Paul Studio. Had to sell one of them to fund a new purchase, it was a no-brainer deciding which one should go. In fact, at one point I wanted a second Plus (well I still do, but it's not a priority) and offered my Studio in trade for a couple that popped up on my local craigslist, but got shot down. I think the value of the two guitars is about the same, but the Plus is a much rarer guitar, so chances are it will be worth more down the road (and it's a better guitar in my opinion).

I'd go for the trade, the Strat Plus is a superior guitar anyway, that's not Fender snobbiness that's just the way it is-Fender guitars are much better quality than recent Gibson products.

+1! Yes indeed! How'd you do that, Nev? Was it the color that caught your eye - or did you remember the brickwork? The legend continues...

Glad to see jadedog has weeded his decking. Glad to see that silly pickguard replaced, too.

Anyway. Nice Strat! Love those Sensors...

Cheers - C

It looks very clean and in good condition. Seems like a fair trade
if it plays and sounds as good.

I searched the serial on Google, and the forum came up in the results. I thought the guitar looked familiar when I seen it...

Forensic... 8)

I think it's a good trade, you can buy used Studios for $799 all day long. I bought a mint studio for that price after I sold my Slash Goldtop for $3400 :)

Do it I say- LP Studios are a dime a dozen... they're everywhere.

I'm beginning to think Nevin is a jedi...
