How to fix a chip on a Lake placid blue MIM 2009 Strat standard ?

a piece of paint disappear ( rectangular 1 cm ) and from both sides of the chip there are two cracks making a kind of a uncompleted circle.

The crack is on the back realy near to where your elbow goes.

P/S : I didn't cry, i wanted to but i decided to DESTROY a chair. It worked a little but .. aaahhh.

Hi man! I am sorry to hear what happened! My sympathies - for your guitar and for your chair. Very Rock'n'Roll! 8)

My recommendation would be to take a few pictures of the problem and create a new thread in the forum, so people can help you work on a solution.

(This thread was originally introduced as a kind of library; I'm glad it helps people who are on the lookout for assistance! but it will become hard to navigate if we fill it up with actual building.)

good luck with your repair, man! I am sure there will be at least one good way to fix this. :)

cheers!

-Nutter

Step one, you need to find the chip of paint, if you can. i hope you didn't sweep it up and throw it away.

If you find the piece, and hopefully it didn't shatter, you may be able to superglue it back in place.

fact is, your paint job is among the hardest to repair, it will be next to impossible to make it a seamless invisible repair.
