Nikininja, Rock Icon indeed! Thank you for that magnificent input! Well, that is some serious considering I have to do now, and go figure: I think I'll have to construct my next guitar from the nut up!

But seriously, those stringnuts look really good. I won't muddle myself, not at the moment, anyway, all my tools are packed up and ready to move, and I simply couldn't start a nut job now. 8) It is tempting, though, who knows what the next weeks will bring! Your posts are stellar and already bookmarked.

I'd go for a Strat model, but at the moment I'm thinking about doing the body myself. I have some ergonomics alterations cooking up that I really want to try, what better than on a instrument crowned with one of your nuts? 8)
I'll have to get myself a new workshop once I've settled in, since I'll leave most of my power tools behind, so it may take a while. I'll keep you in the loop.

Alright, alright, settle down now, class, I'm sure there are millions of puns for this subject, so could we just say "stringnut" from now on? :)

Ah, what delight your stringnuts bring to this board! ;-)

OK I'm done joking. Seriously. And thanks again, mate!

Welcome back, Ceri! How was your trip?

I think the East Pier is fair game. Let's take it out.

Actually, my trip starts tomorrow. That hurricane they had up the east coast of America was just a taster of what they have to come over the next couple of weeks. Batten down the hatches! :D

(Gosh, it's going to be SUCH a let down when one of you finally does meet up for a beer with me. In real life I am a very moderate drinker. These days. Though my last really disgraceful outing just so happened to be in New York. So let's see if nostalgia suddenly takes a hold next week... )

Cheers - C

Me too, don't worry. I'm actually pretty darn scared of having to order beer by the pint in the future...

That's more than half a litre, for Jimi's sake!
Well, I guess I have to do some training!

well, good luck then for your trip and enjoy yourself! 8)

I'll wait as long as it takes, for that sound and unmatched tone a strat gives. I brought a american issue and in my mind it's worth the wait.[/b]

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long if it is only a paint issue. I heard that they have been drilling off the gulf coast..and may have discovered a pocket of paint.

You mean "gloss tar black seagull wing"?

Okay, that was in bad taste.

Yup it was, I live, work and play in the gulf everyday and all I have seen is beautiful clear blue h2o, would be a great color for a strat...BP sucks.

Yes, I checked with fender and now they are releasing some Strats with some new colors: Mystic Petrol Black on Ash, Grey Sea Foam, Aqua Brown, Gothic Pelican White, and Sludge Green

Right, I know we run off topic here often but that's just not cool... ;-)
