I just came from the Ferrari forums, asking if anyone in Italy would bless me with a gift.

Man this it too weird! I have 3 Ferraris and I wanted to get rid of one. I hate black on this kind of car, and since my other two are RED, you can have this one. Please email me your address so I can have it delivered...

In all seriousness, I do have a strat I could let the inquirer have at a super cheap price (and I mean super cheap, even for a 3rd world country).
The only thing is I don't believe in something for nothing. Even when I get presents I have to repay in some way.
So if Dianekey will be prepared to trade something/anything (hats/sandals/anything. I don't want stuff I can buy here in the UK, it doesn't have to be expensive) I could sort it out.
I'm not in America, I don't know why thats a problem, DianeKey seemed really focused on that bit.

I would have gone for the first black Ferrari... It had a tow bar on it. It would have been ideal if you wanted to buy a trailor and a lawnmower to start a lawnmowing round in the U S and A...

You sure your not German instead of British? That is what my (German) dad instilled in me...."ya don't get noth'in for noth'in and you got'a work for what ya get." So I have always had a hard time with receiving gifts gifts too—I can give them much more easy that receiving them! so Mr. Niki, a gift is on it's way to you. Sorry, I could not send the Ferrari.... so you will have to settle for a VW.....

Thats no problem at all, theres no kind of sad face around these parts at all.

I've been a VW Audi owner for a good few years now. The one thing the German nation know's more about than beer, is cars.
225bhp and 0-60 in 6.4 seconds out of a 1.8litre engine. Super reliable and fairly economical when driven properly. Ok I can't get a full stack in it, but can get a halfstack and 3 guitars in it.
You'll have to excuse me for not swooning over Lambo's and Ferrari's.

Xhefri, bit of a change of plan my end. Bubbah Fet is under construction. Thats what I'm calling it, you'll have to guess what it is from the name.

Hey Nikininja, what kind of a guitar is it that you are willing to gift-swap?
You know I'm at the source for German beer, and I'll be coming over to your side of the Channel in a few days... and not on wings, either. think of something & mail me if you like :-)

You put me in a bit of a position there mate. The guitar is the remenants of my much modded MIM squier series from 95. Basically all thats left is the neck that is original. Theres a MIM body on it, either a Wilkinson 5+1 tremolo or a American Standards 2point (can't remember which). The pickups are a Dimarzio fast track2 a SCN and a vintage noiseless in the neck, all on a clapton midboost circuit. Wilkinson locking staggered height tuners and my own design compensated bone nut. Oh it needs a refret and I've relic'd the body to match the neck, which I've also reshaped the back of. Half V half D shape. I call it a VD shape. Far more attention grabbing than Gibsons Asymetrical moniker that they use.
In truth it's a bit of a dogs dinner. It has next to no monetary value, yet is quite precious to me. Hence I can't set a price for it whether it be in beer, curry or moolah. However the sentimental, soft side of me is more than willing to get it to some fellah in a 3rd world country. Where it will be a rarity and loved and played like I have done for plenty of years. For little more than the price of a bag of chips.

Sorry mate, I know it's very bipolar of me.
