Hi vincendetroit,

With the button out, standard setup with 5 positions. With the button pushed in, position 4 is all three pickups, and position 5 is neck and bridge (sounds like a Tele). That's 7 total. The button has no affect on positions 1, 2, or 3. (Using position 1 as bridge and position 5 as neck).

The noiseless pickups aren't as high-output as most, kind of a trade-off for quiet. If you get them set at the right height they sound vintage-like, but less output, it's normal.

I swapped out the neck, mid pups w hot gold, gold laces and the bridge w Duncan jb jr w toggle to split it...much happier with the sound choices..now I would like to replace the neck, its too thick and frets too thick as well...what would you suggest for a replacement? I heard several different opinions, I recently layed a friends original 1962 strat and loved the neck..

The 12-inch fretboard radius as featured on the Deluxe Player Strat is an acquired taste, especially to guitarists used to the traditional Fender furniture. Any Fender (or Fender-spec) neck should fit your body's neck pocket if you decide a swap is warranted. The '62 style would be a great choice and you'll find many of them on Ebay. Since your Deluxe Players Strat is fitted with vintage-style tuners, you'll likely be able to recycle them onto the '62 neck.

I love the 12" radius neck since I have large hands. I recently swapped out the Noiseless Pups to 57/62's. HUGE difference, and I'm getting the SRV tone I want with my Blues Jr, and TS-808 pedal. A very nice Strat for versatility and price.

I have a 60's cp. I'm not a huge fan of the neck radius, but +1 on the 57/62 pu's. I have a set in mu 50's cs, and put a set in my 2004 Am. Std.
I like the CS 69's that came in the 60's cp though.

 yea didn't see the spelling error...I just read an article on 62 strats have a rolled edge on the fret boards as opposed to my mex neck..thought it was due to 50 years of wear on my friends 62..should I worry about strings rolling off edge w such a swap? also I get different opinons on warmoth vs allparts vs mitymite...don't want to dump a ton of cash into this mex strat, but don't wanna waste time ,money on cheap neck either..
thanks for all your help btw.
