I'm looking at it, but I'd love some feedback on it from anyone who has one. Anyone have any insight into it? How does it hold up long term?

Fender Standard Strat HSS is a fine quality instrument.
I been using a MIM HSS Strat for the past 10 years,
It serves me very well.
I would highly recommend it.

I have a 96 HSS Strat and love it. Got it for $200 used, and think I got a great deal on a great guitar(for the price)

Great guitar. I picked one up used as well. Not sure of the year 98-99. I also have to agree with the Duncan Pearly at the bridge. Made a HUGE difference. I'm also looking to put a HB at the neck as well for a HSH set up. Not sure which one, but it will be a Duncan for sure.
