Not that I'm defending MF per se, but with the Fender buying power they have, if they are having trouble getting them quickly, I doubt very strongly you're going to be able to get one faster from any other major dealership. (Unless of course, it is NOS.)

I can understand that.

First ordered a SB '57VHR on April 4th through Guitar Center. Went through 2 botched backorder notice/cancellation/re-instatements. When the last occurred I scrubbed it. Their system is impossible. I waited about a week and then re-ordered through The Music Zoo which is a Showcase Dealer. I checked on it recently and was told that Fender has told them, on their inquiry about my guitar, that all vintage gear was on 16 week backorder. The EJ and the '57VHR occupy high end slots in the products list and may not enjoy a volume priority. I would expect that October might be a reasonable time to see that guitar come through, so hang in there.

I understand Wildwood is an excellent place to do business.

We could create a whole new forum for folks waiting on USA Fenders. It took 6 months for my Am. Std. to arrive. Now I am waiting on a Am. Deluxe . . . no hurry.
