I want upgrade my Strat Classic PLayer PickUp with a set of original Cistom SHop Vintage '57/'62 Strat® Pickups .
Is it a good choice ? If I rembmber in my model of Strat Fender mount
Code:
Bridge Pickup:  American Vintage Strat® Single-Coil Pickup
Middle Pickup:    Reverse Wound/Reverse Polarity American Vintage Strat® Single-Coil Pickup
Neck Pickup:    American Vintage Strat® Single-Coil Neck Pickup

Above read on US web SIte

On Italian Web Site I read:
Code:
pickup single coil '57/'62 vintage-style

I think the pickup are not the custom shop ceause its price:
Code:
Custom SHop Vintage '57/'62 Strat® Pickups  120 to 170 $
Classic Player '50 800 900 $

PickUp cost is almost 20% of finally guitar price. Classic Player '50 PickUp are good m but the orignal maybe would be sound much better about my idea.
What do you reccomend ?
Thank You fro anwsers

Frankly, I don't think you will find a huge difference with the 57/62s over the Classic Player pickups, certainly not worth the price difference. Granted, the 57/62s may be a bit more powerful but along with that bit of power comes a bit more bass which you may or may not like.

In order for us to better recommend, please let us know what you do like about your Classic Player pickups and want to keep in your new set. Next, tell us what do you not like and think is missing from your Classic Player pickup set which you hope to find in a different model set.

Dear Martian thank for your patience and attention.
First : As I have tell before the unique negative thing inmy guitare was the locking machine head Fender Gotoh Vintage , I ìalways have many difficulties to change string and nay time I have broken a string ( 1st or 2nd ) but this is my problem.
I like the suond of Classic PLayer '50 original pickup, bur I lokk for a sound more warm an dbetter in general I have think that tha 57/62 give me a better sound.
For question of price difference : I have read that some people upgrade the pickup of this guitar with tex.mex that has lower price , or also with Texas Special that has hiher price then 57/62.
Maybe this pickups has more diffrence in sound than original ClassicPlayer 50, that upgrade with 57762 haven't ?
In these cases is worth the price difference ?
I hope to explain better what I want to obtain this time , I have some difficulties to explain in other language like English.
Thanks

Guido,

You are quite welcome.

Do not worry, your English is fine and I can easily understand you.

I do not like locking tuners either as I find them totally unnecessary for my stylings too. Like you said, that's our problem.

Forget the Tex-Mex pickups. They will give you more treble than the Classic Player pickups with no more power.

A warmer tonality than the Classic Player pickups would surely be had with the 57/62s with some of the pleasing elements of the Classic Player pickups still present in them. The 57/62s are a most versatile set and will serve you well for most styles of music.

An even warmer tonality than the 57/62s would be had with the Texas Specials but these are more of a specialty set in the sense that they are are more dedicated to harder Rock and very aggressive Blues styles of music. The Texas Specials do not "clean up" as well as the 57/62s do either.

Thanks for you suggests Martian.
I'm looking for more warm tone with more bass than actual and I think 57/62 is the best choice.
Fisrt I change mechine head with the Vintage no-locking machine head and I'll ask to my lutist ot luthier, I don't now teh exact term in English, if the upgrade is possible and its cost.
Thanks

You're welcome.

I agree with your choice of the 57/62s.

The term in English is the same, luthier or simply, guitar tech.

The upgrade is indeed 100% possible. As what it would cost you in Italy, that I'd have no way of knowing. Here, just for the labor, it shouldn't be more than say, $100 but even here, it depends on where you live. I live in one of the most expensive parts of the US.

Good luck!
