The Vox AC4TV is pretty british on the cleans, low headroom.
Will the greasebucket help me getting more clean headroom on this particular pratice amp, as it doesnt adds bass on the rolloff ?

I seriously doubt that the type of tone control one uses would have any significant impact on amp headroom. We are probably only talking about a few dB difference in bass response at most.

Some people "HATE" the greasebucket circuit because they are buffoons. To prefer the regular circuit is completely acceptable. To hate the greasebucket is ridiculous.
