Hello guys , hwo are you ?
I have this machine heads on my Strat Classic Player '50.
During this first year I'm gonig mad all time I have try to change strings.
So I decide on september when my preferred ealer open his shop I'll change it with Fender/Gotoh Vintage Style standard , mounted on other Strat like Vinatge '57 , Gilmour Black Strat, and other models.
MY opinion about this machine head is negative,
Maybe Im a dummies , but this machine head are too difficult to use and the risk to damage strings is high.
All this IMHO .
Do you thimk is my chocie right ?

I guess I don't understand why they are dificult to you. I have them on my CP50's and love them. They are easy to use. Changing strings are a snap. To remove the strings just loosen them up a bit and untighten the post/screw. pull the strings out. put the string in the hole without winding around the post. Tighten the string up and your done. When you tighten the string up the posts will re-lock themselves. Then just cut off the excess.

Hi Guido_59,

If you plan on using the tremolo, the locking tuners will help your guitar stay in tune better than the vintage style standard. You should have less than 1 wrap of the string on the locking tuner's post. When changing strings, loosen the string and then use the edge of your pick, (or something plastic like a comb) in the slot on the tuner to loosen the locking post.

Guido,
I posted this in Italian so you can understand better:

Non sono sicuro perché esso è il wrapping come quella stringa extra intorno i posti. È si messa tensione sulla corda, dopo che si è messo attraverso il buco? Dopo avere che quindi stringere la stringa e vedere se funziona per voi.

Dear EGrier65 I appreciate your intention of , but thogh and this machine head there a special kind of dislike
For this reason I decide to change it.
I'm not an hard user of tremolo , but I note that David Gilmour has on his Blck Strat the Fender/Gotoh Vintage Style standard and He use tremolo.
The other reason to change mechine heads is that in '50s years the lcoking machine head didn't exist and so the Classic Player '50 is more close to guitar build and used in those years.
THird reason : I' m a great dummy :D
THank for your help
