Themarade,

My German is not very good, but if I read the description correctly, he only states that it is American-made and the only issue is pin size checking in the finish.

What can we assume...All original...What model??
The only specs I can compare it to would be an American Standard.

An American standard should have 22 frets and a 2-point tremolo, this has 21 frets and a 6-point trem. Also saddles on the tremolo do not look original. On the other hand, the serial number checks out. Though, I am also not sure why there would be a COA with an American Standard…(maybe they do that for European sale).

I would be concerned, but I am not sure of the models that get sent to Europe.

An original American Standard would have to date from 1986 when, according to A.R.Duchossoir, the production of the first limited quantities was begun in the fall of that year. The guitar was officially unveiled at the Winter NAMM in 1987. Serial numbers would be kind of vague. The author points out that E4's were being used as late as 1988 due to the sizeable E4 inventory existing when the new Fender Corporation geared up in 1985.

No photo of the guitars serial number or headstock.
No case.

Isn't that certificate saying its a custom shop?
If you look closely the headstock truss rod hole does not have a maple cap that I see on most modern Strats with rosewood fretboards.

It looks dubious.

Custom shop COA that says 'standard strat'? The pickgaurd is one ply which is more associated with pre-60's strats, and typically have maple necks. And its not common to see someone order a vintage style guitar and put those types of saddles on it.

Also, the wood looks like alder to my eye, which would be 'weird' to order an alder body with two tone sunburst from the Custom shop.

Even if they'd come back with a matching serial number from a pic of the headstock, I'd walk away from it.

550 Euro from a genuine CS would be a steal.

Nothing looks right about this one...

I have absolutely no idea what that guitar is; nothing seems consistent with current Fender models. The s/n would date the guitar as a 2005. It kind of looks like a Fender MIM neck, but the photo isn't clear enough or large enough to tell. I'm just guessing it's a parts guitar with a bogus Fender Custom Shop certificate. The Custom Shop doesnt' use the same serial number formats as production line models; a "Z5XXXXXX" number would be for a production line USA model.
