I just bought my 2009 Amer. Deluxe Strat and it has the pop-in tremolo arm. My question is, just how hard do I have to push in order to pop it in? I've applied pretty good force without it popping in. I don't want to break anything. Is there anyone out there who can help?

PS this guitar is SWEET!!! Plays very easy, and sounds better than I expected with the S-1 switch.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Lay the guitar flat say in the case and push hard,it will be even harder to remove at first but after a few in/out cycles it will be normal. There is an adjustment that is spoken about in the owners manual, but just try it for awhile.cheers

Had the same issue with my QMT Strat bought in 2008. Very difficult for a while. Be shure to apply pressure directly where the bar is bent at the 90" angle so you're pushing straight in. Also be sure to pull straight out at the same place. It should get easier but will consistantly stay snug. Mine still dosen't spin freely once it's in. Good Luck.
