I have a 1991 Strat Ultra and it has always played like a dream. Yesterday it started buzzing and i discovered that the trussrod walnut plug is coming out at the headstock.

Is the neck broken? I really love the ebony fretboard and I hope it can be fixed. Any suggestions out there??

No it doesn't mean the neck is broken the plugs glued in. Was it left in a hot place at all?

You should play down all frets on all strings and identify (and list) what frets have buzzing. This will shed light on what the problem is.
Also list anything that you have changed and what strings your using.

You could try identifying if your truss rod is still working.
If its beyond your skill I'd take it to an authorized Fender repairer to check anyway due to the fact the plug fell out.

Thanks!

I live in northern Norway and I don't think heat can be the problem, this summer has been really cold... And I'm using the same strings as always.

I must find a find an expert. I get a little nervous when I read that the Biflex truss rod should push against the walnut plug...?

It seems that the truss rod is working, but I can't seem to get the slight concave bow that I'm looking for..

Actually sudden hot and cold as well is just as bad as hot.
Make sure also your guitars not drying out feel the fret edges and if you have a case Hygrometer (checks humidity) leave it in its case a few days with it to see where its at.
If you keep guitars out its best to keep the guitars in a cool room with the door open so that the temperature can circulate with the rest of the house.
Avoid leaving them in a room with lots of direct sunlight.

Yet again you want to check the humidity of the guitar it causes wood to shrink. Take it to get it looked at they will tell you if its warranty. If all is good and the plugs ok they will just glue it back in for you. Fix the humidity first though. Dry wood won't be warranty :)
