I´m getting (ordering) either an American Standard strat or an American Deluxe strat, depending on the neck feel and shape. I have tried the Standard and like the neck, but if the Deluxe has the same feel and shape, that´s the one I will get. Has anyone tested the two? I had a Jim Root Telecaster for a few days, but the neck was to chunky for me. Can you help me out?

In my ever so humble opinion, there is not a better feeling neck than the American Deluxe.

I tried them both out side by side and instantly fell in love with the Deluxe.

Both are great guitars.

I own a '07 Deluxe and it has the smoothest neck feel mainly due to the rolled edges workmenship and is effortless to play. The new Deluxe models have a compound radius fretboard is an upgrage from the Am Std.

Nice to hear! How about neck shape, thickness and width? Are they the same? Do they feel the same when you grip the necks? I tried the Jim Root Telecaster which was too chunky.
