Ummm, Thus I speak and so am I!!! I play my Teles from time to time but when I get serious and want to crunch/jazz/blues, i end up on my Strat configured like and Ultra. Tele tones in the bridge, fat sound in the neck and those lovely out-of-phase tones in-between. And I love my Strat Maple neck. Next runner up is my 52 Tele with a V neck, or 67 with a humbucker or the Clapton Strat with the V neck. Very comfortable.

I have2 nice strats a 1980 and a 2005 62 placid blue mint with a 93 neck but hardly touch them as I consider them special leading me to play my fake fender vietnam strat and another strat copy with humbuckers I built. If I score a top gig I would love to play the 1980 as it sounds awesome !!!!! Theres many factors involved here. Once I owned a tele and didnt like it as it made me subdued and mellow and the sound was not to my taste or liking, the neck though was fantastic with low action. Your not sick
