Welcome Alfonso

Just type in the serial number and make sure Mexico is checked off :

Hello everyone! I am also a fender rookie. I also took the advice that miami mike gave to alfonso1 and found out the year of when my fender strat was made. Very easy link to follow.

Thanks Mike!

Oh mine was made in 2007-2008 by the way.

Since yours is an '07 or'08 is probably why it worked. It doesn't work with my 2009 MIM. I've tried it more then once since I bought my '09 MIM in May of '09 and it never recognizes the serial number on any site. I'd say Fender is not too up date since it ends in 2006 and this is 2010. Over 3 years missing isn't keeping the site up to date very good. Doesn't seem like it would be very hard to do. :(

You are right oldfartc also the my Guitar is of 2009, anyway is a lot strange that Fender doesn't keep the site update, a big company like it shouldn't do these things, it's like buying a Ferrari (Car) here in Italy and you don't can know if it is original , why the website is out service, so an american boy should come here, or make expensive phone calls . I think that should be is a base service for Fender.

Best regards
