Hi everyone!

I love playing guitar (mainly strat) and am a great fan of strats and blues, as my username implies :).

Now a while ago, i came across this very rare guitar (well, so it seems to me).
It's something called 'fender hybrid stratocaster', obviously i am not interested in the guitar itself, when i noticed it was for sale at 1500euros(2000dollars) , i suddenly did get interested, cause i think this might be worth more... ALOT more... Obviously i tried googling it, but it was no use, i have no clue what the real value or story behind this guitar may be.

Here's a link from the real site: http://nl.kapaza.be/belgie/2006-usa-fen ... 007208.htm

Should i buy it?? Cause actually i'm saving for the john mayer strat, but if this guitar is a real bargain i might go for it..

Thanks for your help!!

The reason why noone wants to buy it is it has a red headstock and the weird shaped body. Risky investment if you ask me.

Hi everyone!
Thanks for all the useful replies :D.

I think i'll definately try it out, but am still doubting whether the price is decent, cause maybe the resale value might just be true :).

My dad told me once 'if something is too good to be true, than it ain't'

And special thanks to you, nevin, Your feedback was very useful :).
i do feel quite stupid though, for having found nearly as much info as you :p

Not many of these out there; it seems that since they were Masterbuilt they had a street price here in the USA of at least $3,000 when they were new.
