How high do you recommend the pickups to be set?? Anyone know the pickup height measurements Eric J. sets his at? Just curious at what the concensus is on this as all Eric J. Strats I see at the local Guitar Center have the pickups at various heights. Still experimenting with mine. Thanks for the help. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.

Cheers,

Leslie

In the back of the (Dave Earlwine?) book titled "How to Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great" he has set up spec's for various artist's guitars including Eric John's vintage Strat.

Measurements are taken between the pickup pole piece and the guitar string with the string depressed at the 21st fret. Dave measures the clearance for Low E and High E.

Neck & Bridge Pickups were both .6mm for both E strings

Mid Pickup was .9mm for both E strings

AM DOING THIS FROM MEMORY CUZ I CAN'T FIND MY COPY OF THE BOOK RIGHT NOW. That's why I gave you the title so you can research it to verify.
