Hello guys,

I'm desperatly trying to buy a 2010 American deluxe strat HSS 3TSburst but I can't since this model can't be found anywhere in France!

God, I'm begging for spending 1500 euros (2000 bucks) and get this guitar but no one's got one in stock? I can get custom shop models, mexican stuff, japanese guitars but no american deluxe strat.

What's going on? Fender american factories are closed? They fired the whole staff and guitars are built by managers?

Who knows about this great mystery and who can tell me when I'll be able to buy this f...ing great guitar?

Help.

Thanks

That axe would be tough to find in the states as well.

I too am waiting and have been waiting on an Am. Deluxe Ash.

I do not think anybody knows what is going on with Fender. I started my quest in February looking for a Am. Standard but after a 3 month wait changed my order to a Deluxe. Trying to see which would arrive first but have decided to wait on the Deluxe.

Rumor has it that it is an issue with the paint vendor.

In any event it is very frustrating.

Local dealers are missing huge sales because of unavailability of Fender stuff (even standard / special models are lacking). They can't even give me a schedule for receiving that axe ...

Why show this models at NAMM if production was not ready to handle the need ?

I'll wait until end of september and then probably switch to some Suhr model.

Eventualy got one (ordered in feb.)!
Was worth waiting: never seen such a fast neck on a strat!
Huge tone also.
Nothing but rock n'roll...

I've been waiting on a Deluxe sunburst maple neck HSS since May, with no real delivery date in sight. Long and McQuade in Canada is now saying....October-ish. The small-town dealer I ordered from, is, I imagine, near the bottom of the product delivery food-chain so when is anyone's guess.

The HSS is about to be delivered, I got the info from GAK.com in Brighton. They too are waiting for stock to be shipped and a bulk should arrive in a couple of weeks. Fender is now delivering step by step, so I would wait and see, but maybe put down a deposit with the dealer of your choice so you definately get one when they come.
I liked the new neck and the heel is simply sweet. I do prefer standard "noisy" pickups to the N3, though. But that's just me. :)

good luck!

@Nutter
Also available at PEACHGUITARs (HSS MN 3TS) and soon GUITARSGUITARS.

I also got a 95' standard strat: clear that the Deluxe is a more modern feel guitar: neck, pickups and electronics. Yet Fender strat sound is still strong on this model.

I got mine from Brantford Music Centre in Brantford, ON Canada on September 10, ahead of the late September delivery date estimated by the Fender rep. The owner of the store speculates that it's because he pays his bills on time. :)

Mine is a 3-color sunburst HSS with maple fingerboard. It is gorgeous, although I would have preferred a white pickguard to the mint green one it comes with. Sounds awesome through a GDEC-3 30 with headphones on.

I heard that Fender had a problem with production when a new manager introduced just-in-time manufacturing to the plant. The consequence was a large number of guitars failed to pass quality control and had to be scrapped. Both the manager and JIT are now history at Fender. Has anyone else heard this rumor?

These long delays are due to the fact Fender ran out of lacquer stocks after their supplier went out of business.

Another possible reason was the company began to cut out production costs to save money and survive from the global financial crash which blazes the planet since the fall of 2007, that's why the American Deluxe series has been slimmed down and standardized (despite those fake rumours saying that Fender cheapened out the whole series by deleting a couple of features from the line, such as the abalone fretboard dots, the 22nd fret from the basses and the locking bridge & fretless bass options.)
