I don't know if anyone knows, but I noticed there is a 2 point trem system on some strats that looks like a very similar set up as a Floyd Rose. Can I switch the trem off of one of these strats and put a FR on in it's place?

I dont think so.. I know they used to make strats stock with FR on them...My Deluxe strat and my new standard strat both have locking tuners and stay in tune. I use graphite lube on the nut and saddles and stretch the strings almost to the point of breaking... Both my strats have floating trem setup so I can go either way...
