Anyone over here getting one? How about the cypress mica version that was limited to 500? Was it hard to find compared to the sunburst version?

Well it's a production model, not a custom model so thought it would fit here.

Do you think the black1 should be priced the same as the sunburst and white one?

I'm curious about the other run of 500 they made in cypress mica, and if they sold quickly or could be available to order on musicinsfriend, etc...

The Cypress Mica were highly desired but not entirely difficult to find. They were available from many different big stores. TBO might be a little more difficult because of the hype, whether or not people are disappointed by the specs. I could still see them flying off the shelves way faster than the Cypress Mica strats did.

You are right. You should be able to talk about the non-relic version here.

Are they really being Made in Mexico?

No, I don't think so. Mike Eldred stated early on in the other thread that they were MIA. The current sig is also MIA.

Just curious, if anyone could please respond "Yea" or "Nay"
to whether this production line version of the Black1 was what they had hoped for or expected?

Let the count begin:

I say yea, I've been following the other forum about TBO for a while, read all the post and went back and read alot. This is an ARTIST series and we knew one would be "dead on balls accurate" not saying that this one is not but if john mayer says this is the way he wants his sig to come out how can we be mad at fender or anyone he(jm) did approve it I have the cypress mica one and love it its great for jm tones I couldnt sound like jm if I tried and I was going to get one of the nos versions but seeing as how there's not enough difference to spend what little money I do have reserved for "guitar stuff" as my wife has deemed it. I wont be getting one but if I had the money heck yea Id get it, use the heck out of it and just have fun with it thats what its all about right?
