OK, good you have found one at home.

The one you show has Alder wood body instead of Ash wood body. If you are OK with that your ready.

The pickups are good. Much about pickups is a matter of personal taste. Go try one out and see if you like it.

Others here can tell you more than I. But I know this:

Most current Stratocasters are made of Alder.

"Special" ones are made with Ash. I am told Ash gives a 'brighter" sound.

Do not worry. Alder is great. Ash is great too. If you get Alder you are OK Alder or Ash either one is good.

The best thing is to try out many different ones before you buy.

Do not be in a hurry.

Go play many, then buy when you are happy with one!

Find the sound, color, features you like then buy.

Its hard to go bad with any American Standard or American Deluxe!
