White/light mineral oil is the miracle lubricant :)
It is pretty much the same product as whats in baby oil.

Buy a stick of Fast Fret.
Detune you strings and pop them off to the side and rub a Fast Fret stick all around the string in the area the string will make contact in the nut.
Don't forget the part of the string under the tree. No need to apply it to the nut itself.

What happens is the more you use your trem or bend your strings the more they will naturally smooth out the slot.
You may even find after a couple of applications you never need to redo.

This is a low toxic approach. If you want to absorb pencil lead and nut sauce and other exotic lubricants into your sweaty fingertips then go for it.
