Here's the story,
I decided that I was going to stop by the local guitar shop. I have been wanting a Mesa 5:25 for a while after all. While looking for a guitar to test drive the amp, I stumbled across an Eric Johnson Strat. I have played EJ's prior to today, but this one had something special that sparked my interest. After plugging in, I immediately liked the amp a lot. but withing 20 seconds I was already blown away by the guitar I was playing. I walked over to the counter and asked the Mgr. to ring me up for the Strat.
Story has it, Mr. Steve Miller owns a warehouse not far from where I live, in which he stores his guitars. Due to a recent wild fire in the area, he was forced to evacuate his loot in fear of the building catching fire. The cost of the operation was equivalent to a nice new car. Steve then decided he needed to sell some gear. Somehow or another, he is old friends with the owner of the local guitar store. He is selling a lot of really cool stuff on consignment there.

Hey Nevin,
Black is a cool color on these. They actually had another SM signed EJ available in black, but the white one played so nicely I never felt the urge to play the black one. Out of all the color variations, the sunburst version takes the cake looks wise. Of course this is my opinion.
