I am seeing a lot of RI 50's and Jimmie Vaughn bridges for sale . My question is will they work with the standard MIM body ? The Guitarfetish company looks like thay have some OK bridges with a steel block that would be good . I like their Staggered tuners , not a brand name :( has anyone got many parts from this company ? Most of my stuff so far has been Allparts , I can get most of their stuff close to home.
Everyone has got me interested in a Partscaster of my own , so the first thing I did with my MIM body was to put a new 2010 penny in the center hole that goes under the pick guard. The big plans are simple maple V-neck on a midnight wine mim body , black pick guard and H/S/S pick ups with staggered locking tuners .
After seeing these guys that can work magic on something that has been under water or in a fire I think any pictures I posted would not mean too much....lol

The Jimmy Vaughn and MIM 50s Reissue bridge has wider spacing than a MIM standard and WILL NOT fit unless you fill the original screw holes and drill for the new spacing.

With that said, its fairly simple to do. I have used the GFS stuff in a couple of my guitars and I have nothing but good things to say about them. I do also used the Wilkinson bridge they have on their site ( which you'll have to drill for it too) and I like it even better than the GFS one
