$2000 in good condition and upwards depending on demand.
Knock about $300 off each for bad frets, body damage or non original parts.
Be worth more in 3 years.

Why more in 3 years. I can pick one up for $1200 and am not sure it is worth it. Dilemmas......

It will be 30 years old.
Might be the birthday wish of a few people. But aside from that every anniversary bumps up its value.

Its original list price was around $1200 I believe so it was an expensive guitar that model at that time.
Of course likely people didn't all pay that price.

So you should be able to work that out for yourself.
If its good condition its a decent price.
If its mint its a steal.

Are you looking for the maple-neck version of this guitar?

Yes, it basically is the rosewood neck version of that guitar although it has gold tone knobs and the jack input on the front is also gold. I am told (I haven't played it yet) that the 3rd tone knob actually takes the pickups out of phase.

Then the guitar you're looking for is a "STRAT". The Elite doesn't use gold knobs, but cheesy-looking "rubber"-style with serrate inserts. Also, the jack is not located on the front (mounted on a recessed jackplate like a classic Strat), but mounted on the lower bout of the body.
