i stumbled upon this while getting tips on soldering techniques.
this guy jason, builds a warmoth strat, puts on video every aspect imaginable.
except ofcourse build from scratch.
but pretty much a step by step that gives any ocd driven weekend warrior luthier a run for their money.

ceri, youll like this, ofcourse he is just assembeling, but his meticulousness really helps out. 30 plus 10 minute videos.

enjoy.

Jason from The Musician's Den in Evansville, IN demonstrates building a Stratocaster style parts guitar from a Warmoth neck and body. In part 1, you'll see the many parts we're using for this instrument.

thought it was very well produced. i liked how its broken down, and thouroughly explained.

love the color of the guitar, goes very well with the maple neck.

No it isn't. I had seen it before but not watched it.

Though I have not watched the complete thing to see, you should not leave anything loose or floating around in the pick guard cavity.
This includes heat-shrink or tubing to tidy the cabling.
So in this case he should have shrunk both sets of heat-shrink.

Also to get solder to tin (stick better) you can rough up the contact points or POT surface with some sandpaper or a small file.
I'm sure I could pick the videos apart (I won't) but I'd thought I mention these couple.

Well the videos helped.
My 2006 am STD strat had a loose ground wire in the
output Jack, when I inspectected it it came right off so I
resoldered it.
