The stock Highway 1 pickups are fabulous pickups. Rewire to get rid of that Greasebucket circuit and you will understand.

How does that sound ? What kind of tones you can dial now without the greasebucket ? How does it affects the bridge pickup ? Whats the procedure for doing it ? I was thinking of going for some CS69, thinking of hendrix and gilmour tones, aldo i like the Hot Alnico 3, and if by rewiring the greasebucket helps me getting more 'vintage' 'bell-like' tone, im interested in doing it.

Use a standard Strat wiring such as this:

The rest of what you are looking for depends on pickup height, amp, an fx settings

Tranks for the wiring.
This will only affect the bridge pickup right ?
Adds more bass ? mud ? vintage tone ?
Will help on some gilmour and hendrix tones a la voodoo child ?
Usually i set my pups like this: neck-bass-3.6mm, neck-treble-2.0mm, middle-bass-3.2mm, middle-treble-2.0mm, bridge-bass-3.2mm, bridge-treble-1.6mm.
I also see that you own a hwy1 yourself and you set your pups almost flush with the pickguard. It would be asking too much for some detailed pictures of your pickup heights? Do you think I can get based on the Texas for initial setup as 3.6mm and 2.4mm ? Im doing along with yours nickel method (thanks BTW) but I wish to know more technical information about those Hot Alnico 3.
