I just purchased my first FENDER giutar and I Love it. I bought a Squire Fender Affinity Strat in Metallic Red. Also got a Fender 15 G amp and I am amazed at the sound quality out of both. How about sending me a couple of Fender Decals so people can tell I know a good item when I see it.

That's awesome Jim!

With Fender guitars, it's just like Bon Scott sang; "Love at first feel". You might get some decals at your local dealer. If the guitar was purchase new, there might be a Fender decal that came with it, it looks like a hang tag.

It couldn't hurt to send an email to Fender Consumer Relations and see if they can suggest how you might get some decals.

Congrats..and a great first fender...

Alder body
maple/rosewood neck
9.5" radius
medium jumbo frets
large headstock

sounds like a winner to me.

Not to mention..red..red always seems to work on a strat. Well I have never really not liked a Strat in any color..but you can't go wrong with red.

great stuff Jim,

I bought my first fender about a month ago. I started out with a second hand Ibanez, but my brand new Fender is just sooooo much better

When I got back into playing guitar back in 1999, I bought a Affinity Strat and a Rogue 20 watt combo from Musician's Friend. Those guitars are quite good for the price.

It's good to remember the good times back then. I remember owning one Affinity Strat when I was still college and I miss playing with that guitar. Anyways, how's your first fender so far Jim?

I bought my daughter a used Affintiy. Put in some MIM standard single coils into a new pickguard. The guitar itself was ok. A friend now owns it, but it constantly needs neck and innotation adjustments. Great beginner guitar, but that's about it.
