Truss rod plu shouldn't be black. This looks like a mexican neck. Also looks like it's been messed with where the serial number is.

And what's the date on it? looks like 2002, but that couldn't be, might be 2007.

I would pass.

Yah, that serial number looks suspicious, you can see the outline of the decal. You shouldn't be able to see that, I would think. Just to be safe, I'd pass, too.
Jason -It looks to me lke the truss rod plug is brown in the closeup pics and it looks like the stamp says 2007 to me. Still, that serial no. has me concerned.

Hi guys,

I am by no means an expert on Highway Ones, I have played a few at GC. After looking at the eBay ad, everything seems to add up. It looks legit to me.

1) The serial number is exactly like the US made Highway ones that I've seen. And his description accounts for the discoloration. Some people do put stickers over the serial number, maybe to make it look like it's an original 70s guitar.

2) The neck heel stamp looks like 2007, the serial number indicates 2007 which matches.

3) 100 percent positive feedback and long-time eBay member. I read every one of the feedbacks, no problems at all.

4) Detailed description that matches the pictures perfectly. The pics are clear, not trying to hide anything there.

5) The seller was accurate about all of the modifications and didn't miss anything. Looks like he is being honest and forthcoming.

I am a long time eBay member, seller and buyer, and nothing about this ad makes me suspicious, and I tried to find something wrong. If I were in the market for a highway one neck, I wouldn't hesitate to consider this one, even though it has been modified a little. :)

Hi there.

Okay, I found a Hiway 1 for sale on e-bay, and the headstock a serial number on that guitar looks the same. When I worked for CBS back in the early 80, and neck like this would have been rejected, only clean non figured wood was to be used back them.

Heres a link to that sale....

http://cgi.ebay.com/Fender-USA-Hiway-1-Natural-2004-excellent-condiotion-/260559875787?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Guitar&hash=item3caa942ecb

If you look at the picture on the headstock, the "Fender" crest and the stratocaster writing are the same, along with a figuring of the wood is similar.

I say it's what he clams it is.

One thing I saw once a posted my first link was the serial number was in a different spot, the hiway 1 I found was a 2004, so i looked for a American 2007, and I found one, while he claims it is a standard strat H=S=S, it is a 2007, and you can see here them figuring in the wood is the same as well as the placement of the serial number.

Although as a SELLER, there are only a few feedbacks..hardly well established, I can state with 99.9% accuracy that this neck is as described...USA 2007 Highway One with said mods. I would buy it myself if I needed one, and if i could convert the currency to US dollars with any degree of accuracy.

Bottom line..it's legit.
