I'm going to buy some vintage tuners instead of the stock ones in my highway strat (upgrade) The question is: Are Gotoh SDS 510 vintage tuning machines going to fit my guitar? What are dimensions of the Standard Cast/Sealed Tuning Machines?

Thanks for help

I don't think Vintage style tuners will fit a Highway One Headstock. The holes are too big. If you want to upgrade your tuners, get a set of Locking Tuners instead.

Bingo!

My friend....I have 8 Highway One Stratocaster HSS's and I have replaced the crappy Ping tuners on ALL of them with Fender/Schaller locking tuners.
They're a direct drop in replacement with NO mods to the guitar!
Best damned move I ever made!!
They stay in tune even during the most vigorous strumming and bending!!

I second the Fender/Schaller locking tuners. I have them on my HWY 1 and I am about to have them on my American Special too.

The thing is that I want to make it look vintage... But it looks like there's no way to do that.

In order to make it look vintage 70's, you would have to put those goofy "F" tuners on it.

It can be done easily. You will have to drill new holes and get conversion bushings from Guitarfetish.com

The heck with the 'VINTAGE LOOK' thing!!
The IMPORTANT thing is that the guitar STAYS in tune and that string changes are quick and easy!!
The Fender/Schallers will indeed accomplish that!

But that's just me....I'm all for functionality over period correctness!

Kluson style tuners have really quick string changes, and they hold exceptionally well if you string them properly and have a lubricated nut.
