Yes it is, you would need to modify the pickguard to accomodate the humbucker. I personally wouldnt, it would ruin the aesthetics of the guitar.

Sure - you can get replacement pickguards from several sources. Just get one with the screw pattern for an American Standard/American Deluxe with an HSS configuration and you should be good to go.

Thank you for the quick replies.
I am considering an Ultra, and will hold on to the stock parts, but just wanted to make sure I can make a pup change if I decided to without too big of a hassle.

Hi Crane15, A couple things to consider. The wiring on an Ultra is different than on any other Strats—even the H/S/S Strats. The Lace Dually in the bridge of an Ultra is really two independent pickups strapped side-by-side using a (o/on/on) 3-way mini-switch to turn either or both on. If you do the humbucker, you will only be able to spilt of one side of the winding with a (on/off) switch. There is some tricky wiring going on with this.

Also the main 5-way switch is a single wafer, 5-lug Super Switch that has position #3 as both the neck and the bridge pickups, rather than the conventional middle pickup as on most Strats. So taking the ultra wiring and putting it in a different pickguard with a humbucker will present a few wiring challenges, and unless you or some one knows what your doing, I would leave it alone. It would be best just to buy another pickguard and different pickups and wire that as a H/S/S and switch guards and keep your Ultra guard together.

I can't understand going through all the work to put a humbucker in the Ultra, when the Red Lace Dually, with the 3-way switch sounds and works so sweet.

As long as the body cavity has the humbucker cut out and you have the correct pickguard, it shouldn't be a problem. Don't forget humbuckers use a 500k Ohm tone control versus the single coil 250 ohm.
