I'm going to buy anew strat but can't decide between blizzard pearl and Olympic white. However I don't think the pics on the fender site are good representation of how colors actually look on a guitar. For example, the charcoal frost looks grey on the website but in person almost has a blue sheen to it, in my opnion.
ANYWAY, I have looked and looked and not found a blizzard pearl fender in a store so I could actually see what it looks like. Can some of you with blizzard pearl fenders please post some good pics so I can see white the color looks like (especially up close). I know this isn't as good as seeing it in person but will have to do.
Thanks in advance!!!!

I hope that the link works. Blizzard Pearl is a stealth color. Because it has fine silver sparkle in it it will catch it's surrounding color, a little. Cool effect. I love mine too. It is a 2006 60th anniversary MIM.

2008 American Standard. The color seems to change depending on the light and the angle you view it.

I made no mods on it, nothing. Stock three ply white pickguard. Except for some fret wear she's exactly like the day that I bought it. Oh and the greasy fingerprints are mine too. :)

I haven't seen Blizzard Pearl in person, but I have an Olympic white which is more of a antique white color, slightly yellower than artic/pure white. Looks awesome with gold hardware, tortise shell pickguard, and rosewood neck.... (My guitar!)

Blizzard pearl almost looks like the color of Ace Frehley's facepaint I think.

No, blizzard pearl has a more stark white appearance. Olympic has a vintage tint to it.... The pearl part makes it shimmer...

Here's a photo of my blizzard pearl American Tele.

Image

It's sort of a very light, silvery grey. Definitely darker and less of a pure white than Olympic white. I think it looks pretty sharp, myself!

Hello fellow strat lover! I thought I would share my experience with you...assuming you haven't yet purchased one or the other. I was torn also between an Olympic White American Standard, and the Blizzard Pearl. The sales guy at Guitar Center said..."I've always liked the colors...because the white will always be available". Others in the store that day said, if you play classic rock and blues (which I do), then choose the Olympic White. I listened to the salesman and purchased the Blizzard Pearl w/maple neck. The color IS beautiful, however, after I got it home, and the newness wore off, the color started to look too greyish compared to the white pickguard, so I switched pickguards, and switched again, and again, trying to make it look more white! I tried white pearl, but that looked too grey...tried black, black pearl, but that made it look too silverish in comparison. I finally decided that a red pearl made the guitar look the most "white", and was striking. But in hind sight, I wished I had just gotten the Olympic White!! Then I got sick of having to unwind the tremmy arm off all the time just to put it in the case. SO...I recently traded up to a new American Deluxe, 3-tone burst, comes with mint green pickguard. BEAUTIFUL!! And the red tones really show up under stage lights! I realized from this experience, that I will never buy and "wild" or unusual colors ever again. I'm a classic kind of guy, that's why I love Stats, and that's why I will always choose the classic colors, or at least classy looking colors. I was torn this last time between the tri-burst and the ash "Aged Cherry Burst". Now that's a beautiful guitar!! Well, hope that helps you...the best of luck! Whatever you choose, you can't go wrong with an American Strat!!

Now this closeup pic is EXACTLY what it looks like...too gray, at least against a white pickguard.
