It looks like necks can cost more than the guitar . Musicans Friend has a brand called Mighty Mite that I think will work OK . Has anyone had a problem with any of these necks ? Is there another company with necks in that price range ?
I got a deal on a midnight wine body I plan V-maple neck and some upgrades like a big block and some good locking tuners . I am not sure about what pick ups .

When building a "home-brewed" Strat I always use a genuine Fender neck, usually purchased from The Stratosphere on Ebay.

For a neck with a custom fret/radius/contour configuration, I'd recommend Allparts and for more exotic woods USACG.

Mighty Mite's quality control is not what it once was and I couldn't honestly recommend them.

I agree. You can also go Warmouth, but there prices are so high, you might as well buy a used neck from Ebay...

Good timing, I've been thinking about changing the neck on my Deluxe... is it possible to put a Gibson type slim tapered neck on a Strat? I love the neck on my 335 and I'd like to do the same on my Deluxe. Is it recommended?
