Post subject: Floyd Rose Strat - No maple fretboards?

Why doesn't the Floyd Rose Strat Standard have a maple fretboard option? I would own one right now if they did. I think a maple fretboard version of that guitar would be way more popular than the rosewood.

You can find these occasionally on ebay or craigslist. Fender made an American FLoyd Rose Classic, from 1992 to 1998, and Maple was an option. Here is a pic of mine

Well worn mediums. Mine has a few frets that are worn, and I have not had a chance to check to see if it can be dressed. Still plays beautifully though. You will find a FR strat to sound a little thin if you leave it floating.
