What locking tuners would fit this guitar as is? I really like the look of the Gotoh vintage look locking tuners from Stew Mac but I don't know if they'll fit. I was also thinking about upgrading the nut (bone, tusq, brass?) and replacing the bridge saddles and tremolo block as well as shielding her real good. I have a single DiMarzio Super Distortion that I'm very happy with, so the pickup setup works for me.

You really have to remove one of your tuners and measure the hole size in the wood. You don't have to remove the ferrule if it has one, just remove the tuner and measure the hole size from the back of the headstock. Probably 11/32 inch, or maybe 10mm (new size?). I think that the Fender locking tuners will drop in without drilling the hole bigger (11/32 inch?). Most other brands may require the hole to be drilled bigger, some are 25/64 inch and some are 13/32 inch.

But measure the hole first, then you can check what size hole is required for the tuners that you want. Most of the sites that I've seen that sell tuners will list the required hole size. Hope that helps. :)
