Hi everyone
Ive got a little problem with my guitar.I bought a Custom Shop 69s set of pickups .Very nice pickups with really cool vintage sound but there is one problem. The magnets of G and D string are too strong so they cause string balance problem (G string especially) so there are some wolves near the 15th fret.I know these vintage pickups require wound g string but maybe there is some other way to fix it?
thank you for your help

PICKUPS
Set too high, pickups can cause myriad inexplicable phenomena. Depress all the strings at the last fret. Using a 6" (150 mm) ruler, measure the distance from the bottom of the first and sixth strings to the top of the pole piece. A good rule of thumb is that the distance should be greatest at the sixth-string neck pickup position, and closest at the first-string bridge pickup position. Follow the measurement guidelines in the chart below as starting points. The distance will vary according to the amount of magnetic pull from the pickup.

If you change to a wound G string, this problem will go away. If this is not feasible, you're stuck with the loud G string. The only other alternative is to switch out the set for something more balanced.

Or you can flip them around if you have enough slack in the leads and room in the guitar and do the Hendrix thing. The only good thing about a swimming pool rout if you have a Strat that has it.
