cheers.

It sounds like it is the AMBER Maple neck Deluxe Strat... If you can see the wood grain....it is more than likely the AMBER colour...

I have the same deluxe if it is  .....

Welcome to the Forum.... :)

I believe the only metallic orange color offered on these was the candy tangerine; maybe yours has faded a bit over time? Also, I suppose the color could vary a bit year-to-year as well.

Sounds like a nice American Deluxe; enjoy it!

You forget another metallic colour offered on the 2004-2009 US Deluxes: Montego Black. Candy Tangerine was available from 2002 to 2006. Both finishes were replaced by Sunset Sunburst as of March 23.

I didn't forget about Montego Black; I said "the only metallic orange color" in my post.

Montego Black was a cool color; also don't forget the V-necks were (and still are) available in Candy Apple Red.

hi, everyone who have posted and many thanks. i'll settle for faded candy tangerine and be happy with that, love the guitar anyway and play it through one of the new champ 15watt combos, great sound, what more does one want.
