I was considering putting a Humbucker from a 72 Tele reissue in the neck position on my MIM Strat. Anyone ever tried that out yet? I'm wondering if it will fit in the HH Pickguard I have. I've got a Dimarzio SD in the bridge. What size capacitor should go with that? Thanks for any tips.

I'm not completely sure, but I think the 72 reissue Buckers are slightly larger than regular Humbuckers.

They might still fit though.

That's what I was wondering about. I don't mind cutting the pickguard, But I do not want to rout the neck pickup cavity ( considering the proximity of the neck pocket ) and I haven't spent the $100.00 for the pickup they are asking for it at Warmoth. Thanks for your reply.
