Hi all, I played a gig last night at the NAIDOC ball at the festival centre.

I was a bit stressed at this time thinking about how we as a band were going to compete with a hip hop DJ that was suddenly moved forward in the line up before us, but whilst preping my gear I realised that it is me and these two baby's that create the live magic that house music can't.

Anyway, the Strat Girls got a good work out!! so did the dancers and even though I had my set list all ready...we only played about 7 out of the 11 tracks because I had to keep the human girls dancing by playing well known covers.

It was a surprise to my band members but we got through to the end successfully to have a great gig :D

I had this set up running through a Fender ri Twin Reverb, Here is a photo of my two girls backstage 5 minutes before going onstage..

G'day Airbornestrat :)

Yeah man I am still feeling that awesome adrenaline from the gig...

Well the 3 tone sunburst strat is an all stock non modified 2008 American Standard. Her name is Sandy.....Great typical Strat Sound that I find so rich in tone delivery.

The Arctic white Strat is a modified 2003 Made in Mexico Standard strat with Tex Mex pickups in the Neck and Middle positions accompanied by a Seymour Duncan Hotrail on the bridge.
Her name is Candy.....provides an Absolutely great gritty blues sound from the Tex Mex's and for those sustaining solos the Hotrail takes the guitar to a different level.

These two Girls are my go to Strats for my gig's....I have my 09 Deluxe that I think I will need to tweek the PUP combo for her to join these two girls onstage. Her name is Amber...

LOL I love the fact that I have been gifted with the ability to make other people feel happy by making live music magic with an interactive audience....

Glad to hear that your gig went well,of course with these 2 pretty babies doing their singing it had to go great.BTW hip-hop and rap etc. can't hold a candle to good old live rock and roll.

Yeah it was pretty frustrating facing off with a DJ.....the two do not mix as far as I am concerned...

Yes it was a great gig...more to come this week...

The pic is one of my favourites because for me it captures a thought in time of 5 minutes before my gig...

I think those two Shetars were just as aroused and ready to Rock N Roll as I was...LOL...

another boss fan i see. me too.
you need to try the new fulltone OCD V4 bro.
ive been a boss guy for 2 plus decades.
they make nice stuff. this OCD is amazing.
the tones your able to get from this thing are limitless.
i have a mid sized pedal board myself. now i gotta go and
build/buy another board to extend the one i have.
fulltone is gonna break the bank i can already tell.

Lol....yeah as you said before...this is a great place to help make a decision..

I have read on this forum many a time that the Fulltone OCD V4 is a hot pedal...

hmmmmm......at this stage I will pass on it until later....

In the morning I am taking my 08 MIA standard strat to test drive a silver face Fender Twin....to purchase hopefully..

Hey as a side thing I do for my oldie family members....I play instrumentals like Chet Atkins and The Shadows, The Ventures and some country instrumentals etc etc... for this I have set up a Boss BCB -30 board with the following; :D

From Guitar first, Boss Fender Legend Series 65 Deluxe Reverb Pedal, Boss Fender Legend Series 63 Reverb Pedal and finally a Boss RC-2 Loop Pedal.

This little set up is just Instrumental & Jam heaven...Great Sixties, Surf, Country Tone...

I love Fender and Boss..... :D

wow two different reverb pedals?
i just bought a boss loop 20xl for playing back some tracks while i solo
over them. great practice tool but i have seen folks use them in live situations. killer pedal.
my next pedal will be the fulltone analog delay.
fulltone has caught my eye, ears, and wallet lately lol.
lastly im gonna get a texas bone pedal. its two channel and has great tone. those with my already existing boss board, i should be covered.

Ohhh I forgot to state that I recently won on Ebay a brand spanking new Boss Fender Legend Series FBM-1, $100 AUD.

I haven't had the time as yet to test drive it with the others members of it's family...

I feel a bit greedy having all 3 Boss Fender Legend Series Pedals...I wonder what the next one will be..

I need to break the mold and try other brands....

The 65 Deluxe Reverb pedal has the Tremolo as well...that's why I have the two...still both very different to each other..

I may make an $@! of myself here....but I am predicting that Boss may do the next Fender legend Series pedal as a Fender Twin Silverfacce I can read it now.......

Boss Fender Legend Series TSF-1 60's and TSF-2 70's.
