Well today while looking thur Craigslist here on Maui I saw a post for a red Fender Squire Bullet.... Now get this only $20 bucks.. So I drove over to Napil to get it.. real beat up... Wait I mean DIY road worn. I could not let it set out there not being loved after all it is a Fender. Any Idea's as what to do with it. I mean for $20 bucks I can do some mods to it..... I looked up the serial number not to much info on it. NK412509 as I understand it I think it was made in Korea in 1994... I think it's a 9.5 neck maple'ish.. Any help with info on it. The fender site has no listings for Korea stuff.. Thanks gang!! Mark

Well this guitar had such a bowed neck.. So I did my first neck adjustment. Pretty strait now I also had to solder both sides of the input jack. I did see inside the input jack well and it looks like plywood. But for $20 bucks, man I mean that's a 12 pack of beer!!! Now I'm gonna try and lower the action. This is stuff I would always leave to a pro, But it's fun to try it out and how much can I hurt this thing lol.. >M

I would make it into a dedicated slide guitar.

That's a great idea.

Been out your way twice. 2003, 2004 vacations. Have a friend who retired out there. Bought a Fleetwood Mac signed Strat in a presentation case from Gerard Marti's Celbrites Gallery in Wailea. Also has a shop in Lahaina. Ever been in there?

HI ZZdoc, I have been there for sure. Before I got laid off I was a screen printer. Meet both him and his wife many times. Also printed some John Lennon stuff for then under an agreement from Yoko. I spent most of my life in Lahaina surfing and playing guitar.. Man that place can get hot.. A few weeks ago I had surgery on my right shoulder.. I can play a litter more each day. That's why getting this old guitar was so much fun. I got to try out all of the things that all of the gang at the Fender forum's have talked about and not worry about messing up on of my good guitars. ( god bless Leo as his idea was to make a guitar that anyone could work one, hey I did!!) It pays to read, so much good info and given so freely. Thanks Fender forum!! Each and everyone of you is cool as $hit!!! I got to play with my band today and for the first time everyone helped carry my amp and stuff.. Nice I think I will keep this sling for a long time lol. Aloha, Mark P.S. kinda rambling post, but hay I'm still on pain meds. M
