I'm kinda new to the Strat scene, and I noticed all these markings on the neck and pocket of mine. I've seen a few other's pics of theirs, but none of them looked like these. Do all American-made Strats look like this?

No, they don't all look exactly like that (some have less holes for example). But they do get dates, parts numbers, inspection markings.

I like your "SOL-COL" marking. That was put on the body to indicate that it should get a solid color finish (ie, not attractive enough grain to get a transparent finish). Sometimes that kind of marking is stamped into the wood in the pickup routes (I have one that has NAT punched in -- meaning "give this body a natural finish").

Thanks for the info. I really have an interest on learning what little details like that mean....especially when it involves my guitars.
