I have what I believe to be a 94 to 95 strat MN420895.

It's antique white with black pickguard and rosewood fingerboard.
It has HSS with only 2 pots and a switch in place of the third pot for splitting the humbucker.

What I know about guitars you could write on the head of a pin, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Would post a pic, but what I know about doing that would fit on a smaller pin.

Thanks

Leeroy

A pic really would help.
Did you buy this new or used? Black pickguard and only two control knobs....hmmm...sounds modded to me. But I seem to recall a MIM Strat stock like that back then. Have you already tried contacting Fender customer service with the serial number to find out what they say about it?

I wish I could post a pic, but no idea how!

Got it from a guitar shop here in the uk, apparently it was supplied in its current form.

Have to go through Fender Europe here and they no longer offer help identifying old models.

If I can figure pics out I will post one.

Thanks

sounds modified if u ask menot alot of fender guitars come with a rythm treble switch in between the knobs. I'd say bring it into a guitar shop and act like you want to sell it they will most likely offer to call in an expert and they will tell you exactly what it is, thats all my advice hope it helps!

Thanks for the advice, I will give it a try.

I should have mentioned the switch is in place of the lower knob.

Cheers

I hope you don't mind, I took the liberty of posting from the link you tried above.

Just had a couple of emails from different people saying it's a Mexican Strat Special.

Thanks metropolis74

Of course I don't mind. I did get a little scared by what witchcraft you used to transport images so freely through the ether, but then I am old and wrinkly and that happens to me a lot.
