These Buzkut pickups are supposed to emulate the original Big Dippers of the John Mayer signature Strat.

Dan Torres claimed the Buzkut series are superbly quiet with a clean, strong and long sustain and described the Buzkuts "as more powerful than the original Fender Dippers." True or false?

I've heard the same. Would like to hear from anyone who's tried them.

It looks like we're going to have to wait for someone to take the plunge and buy a set.... I'm broke, so it won't be me...

I don't think so. I own a John Mayer sig with the big dippers and I had a strat with CS '69s at the same time. They sound nothing alike in my opinion
