Sorry to hear about the tendonitis.

Thanks. It got to a point where it was getting so bad I finally had to do something about it. It turns out it's a bad time for me to have surgery though.

I went to the doctor last Thursday and they scheduled this for the 30th, then on Friday my 11 year old daughter broke her ankle, and she has to have surgery on Monday. She's autisic and has mobility issues already so she can't use crutches. She got a wheelchair on Saturday, but I have to lift her from the chair to like the bed or couch or to go to the bathroom, and it takes a toll on the wrist. Don't know if I'll be able to do it all after surgery. I have a pre-op meeting on Tuesday, so I'll find out then how long the recovery will be and how much use I'll have with it while it heals.
My daughter comes first though, so if it affects me helping her, I'll postpone it. It's out patient surgery, so I'm hoping it won't be too long before it's better.

From what I remember tendonitis surgery heals fairly fast, like 3 and 6 weeks on a standard operation. In worst case scenario, if they have to do repairs because of tearing, can take between 6 weeks and 6 months. Hope that is not the case with you. Sorry to hear about your daughter's ankle. My wife's sister-in-law works for a autisic support organization and her cousin has a 28-year old autisic son. It is a big handful if the autism is very severe. I understand what your dealing with. We will be think about you next week.
