I just got my first guitar. It's a use Cobalt Blue MIM Strat and I have several questions, but I'll start with there two

1. The S/N is MZO 213021. When I looked it up MZO + 5 digits is a 2000-2001 model. Mine is MZO + 6 digits. Is mine a fake?

2. The tuners have Fender written inside a circle on the back. Were these standard?

Any info would be great. I really like it, just wondering whatI have.

Greetings and welcome to guitar playing and the Fender Forum.You picked a great guitar to learn on.Your guitar is legitimate although there were usually 5 numbers after production surpassed 5 numbers they added the extra digit.I have an '00 MIM Strat and it has Fender written in a circle on the back of the tuners but I imagine that your tuners are original.Anyway the MIM Strats-and all MIMFenders-since '00 are great guitars and yours should give you years of enjoyment.Good luck with your practicing and drop a line any time you have a question.
