I am in the market for a new Strat and have it narrowed down to a Roadhouse and the white blonde finished ash bodied FSR model with noiseless pickups. I have played a Roadhouse before and really liked it, but have never tried the FSR model. The Roadhouse has Texas Specials which I really like, but I have never tried the noiseless ones. Most people seem to like the Texas Specials, but seem to be mixed on the noiseless pickups. They are both 599.99. Any thoughts or advice by anybody who has played both of these would be much appreciated!

the texas delivers much more muddy tone, as goes for srv and dirty blues. a really high output pickup.
the vintage noiseless are quiet, but to my ears lacks tone/life. it really depends on what kinda music are you.
let me recommend that you consider also for 599 the lonestar, witch comes with texas specials on neck/middle and a seymour duncan pearly gates plus at the bridge.
i almost got the mim lonestar, until ive played the usa highway one. the pickups on the lonestar sounded better tone, but the feel and craft on the highway got me for a $100 bucks more. highways use hot alnico-iii pickups, very very versatile pups i can play from hendrix and srv to gilmour and gary moore on these.
