Post subject: 84-87 Japanese strat vs. 2005 Highway One strat

Hello I just wanted to get everyones opinion on build and quality difference between an 84-87 made in Japan strat with active EMG pups vs a 2005 highway One with American standard pickups.

Are they the same guitar or is one better?

My personal preference would be the MIJ Strat. However, I am biased, I have 3.

I am wondering what the emg pups will sound like compared to American Standards.
