I just bought another 1993 strat plus. The guitar is really nice but the previous owner painted the body, pickup covers, knobs and switch tip. I'm OK with getting the body in shape and I can order new volume and tone knobs and a switch tip...but...

I have no idea what I should use to remove the paint from the Lace pickup covers without harming the plastic. These covers are no longer available from Lace.

Does anyone have any experience with getting paint off of plastic pickup covers?... or any other ideas for that matter?

I don't know. I would start maybe with something not too strong, like nail polish remover, without acetone. I used that to get spray paint off a guitar case that was plastic, it worked ok.
