Hey!

I have a guitar that Xhefri needs to look at!
And I'm going on a trip for two days and might not see if he/you reply before on monday or sunday.
I have got a offer which might be a MIJ Strat Foto Flame Strat, and it would be great if he/you could take a look at it.
I wondered what something like that would be worth, and how low I can bid on it

I have read all of the articles on Xhefri's guitars on MIJ/CIJ guitars. And as I have understood it seems to be a Foto Flame Strat from 1993 / 1994, with a vintage string-tree that looks like a button (the neck looks like a '54 reissue neck) :D
And the guy that sells it tells me he has changed the tuners and pickups to locking-tuners and Lace Sensor Golds. And as I already love Strat Plus type specs and I've heard good things about the MIJs this really seems like a good buy! But what should I bid? What is something like this worth?

Hugs

Interesting!

Can you post some pictures of this foto-flame guitar?

I can't post any pictures because I don't have a site to post i from, but I'll see if I can save them on one and then post some.

And I actually might back out of the thing all in all, I want to save up to some Pete Cornish effects ... And they cost A LOT ...

Ossy, this sounds like a "need to see" situation. You could sign up for a free account at photobucket.com or one of the other such sites. Upload your photos and then post from there to here. That's what most of us do.

We want to look at this fotoflame!

Cheers - C

Ah, very pretty. Yep, the tuners have been switched out to locking Sperzels, which are nice. Love those Gold Sensors too.

If Xhefri doesn't see this thread soon one of us will send him a message and ask him to look in. Be interested to see what he has to say about your guitar.

Cheers - C

I'm no expert by any means, and it may just be the angle of the pic, but does this pickguard look a little high up on the horn?

Yeah, it's pretty sweet ...
I think I'm gonna skip this one though.
I have four electrics I'm happy with, and I need EFFECTS PEDALS!!!

And I was supposed to trade my ESP M-II Deluxe from '95 for it and I just don't think it's worth it because I already have a Strat Plus ...

But thanks for the help guys!
I will certainly come back for more questions and answers! :)

We need to see some pics! I never heard of that strat, (no real surprise), but I'd love to see it!

What an amazing axe!

BTW, this blue fotoflame will be much better if you put a white pearloid pickguard.

Does this guitar have the on-board "EC" active mid-boost circuit installed?

Ah, just saw this thread for the first time today...months after the last post. Anyhow, almost every Blueish gret Foto flame I have seen is one of three models: 54 reissue, 57 Reissue and the HM Strat which had the locking nut and honking tunable bridge (can't remember which one right off) I would say this guitar has been upgraded and is a 50s reissue.
